Hericea

Accessibility

Built to be used by everyone.

A brand that prints every study on the page has no business hiding that information behind an interface you can't use. We design Hericea to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA, and we want to hear from you when we fall short.

Our commitment

Hericea is committed to making this website usable by the widest possible audience, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, voice control, or who experience the web differently because of vision, hearing, motor, or cognitive differences. Accessibility is treated as a launch requirement, not an afterthought.

The standard we target

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, the standard referenced by the ADA and used internationally. Before launch we are commissioning an independent WCAG 2.2 AA audit and will publish its results here.

What we've done

  • Semantic HTML and landmark structure so assistive technology can navigate the page.
  • Full keyboard operability for menus, accordions, the ingredient module, and forms, with visible focus styles.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images, and decorative graphics hidden from assistive tech.
  • Color choices checked for contrast, with information never conveyed by color alone.
  • A prefers-reduced-motion setting that turns off animations for people who ask for it.
  • Responsive, zoomable layouts that reflow cleanly up to 400% and on small screens.
  • Labeled, error-tolerant forms with clear instructions and status messages.

Known limitations

We’re honest about works-in-progress here, the same way we are about our doses. As a pre-launch site, some areas are still being refined — including a small number of generated product images whose alternative text we are still improving, and third-party embeds we don’t fully control. If you hit one of these, tell us and we’ll prioritize a fix and offer the information another way in the meantime.

Tell us what's broken

If any part of this site gets in your way — or you need information from it in a different format — email accessibility@hericea.com. Please tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you use. We aim to respond within five business days and to provide the content you needed right away.
